Does anyone know if it possible to get, easily, from
Helsinki to St Petersburg?? Just noticed onthe map that
they seem quite close together and thought that it would be
cool to drop into Russia on the way.
    Cheers

  2. Budapest

[Timestamp: Wed 26 May, 6:37 Scone Standard Time]

Hi, everybody who is interested visiting Budapest can stay
in any of the two apartments. Both are in the heart of the
city. Next to hotel Astoria and next to the Basilica, just
2 minutes from downtown (really two minutes by feet!),
    National Museum etc.
The flats were refurbished one month ago. One is two rooms,
the other one is one room. Both have bathroom, kitchen,
brand new furniture, cable TV, microwave, clean linen etc.
The windows are overlooking quite courts, so there is no
downtown noise in the rooms. The one with two rooms can
accommodate up to 4 people., the one room sleeps two. Even
if you will stay alone in the two room apartment I will
never put other people besides you (Well if you want, then
    it's another question).
Both are two stops by subway from the Eastern and Western
rail-road stations and 5 minutes by feet from the airport
    bus.
I can send you e-mail pictures of the houses and the
    apartments as well.
    The price is $US 25.00/person/night.
The most convenient thing is the fact we don't have check
    in/check out regulations!
Also the stay in the center will save you at least 2-3 US
Dollars transportation costs daily. One ticket is about 40
    cents.

  5. Do I need a reservation in Prague?
    Created by: krev (krev@hotmail.com)
[Timestamp: Wed 26 May, 5:16 Scone Standard Time]

I will be arriving in Prague by train on June 16 and will be looking for a cheap but clean place to stay. Rumor has it there are people waiting at the train station that have rpivate accomodations. How reliable is this? How much (US$)? Or should I make a reservation ahead of time? There are two of us travling together and any ideas for a four day stay would be appreciated. Suggestions for short trips out of the city or even a non-touristic village would be great as well.

  10. A month in europe for ú130 (c.US$200)?
    Created by: Jumper (applepie@talk21.com)
[Timestamp: Tue 25 May, 23:53 Scone Standard Time]

Right, I'm not a tramp nor a wierdo, but I've just come back
from living 6weeks in Laos for about the price of a can of
coke, and although I live in London, I'm not sure if this
    europe plan is feasible.
I'm planing to only spend money on food - travel will be
hitch hiking and walking, and my trusty hamock will be my
    accomodation.
I know that getting across Germany into Poland is easy, but
what is roughing it in France like? I will try and get to
    Estonia or Hungary.
What, do you think are the potential problems with this idea
(I'm hoping to leave next week)?

    Created by: JF
[Timestamp: Tue 25 May, 21:21 Scone Standard Time]

Is a good place this year.
Because there is a border with Serbia, some tourists are
    afraid and avoid the country.
If you go there : have some Deutcsh Mark (DM) to pay the
rooms in Budapest, you will spare about 50% of the price
in Forints (people offers rooms in the stations). You
can find a room for two at about 20 DM in the center.
There is no black market for money, or few and no value.

  25. visum for the ukraine ?

In the summer of '99 i'm going to volunteer in an orphanage in Iasi, Romenia. Afterwards I would like to travel to the Ukraine. The embassy of the Ukraine in brussels told me that I should have hotelreservations or an invitation by a private host to apply for a visum. I'm going to travel to the Ukraine by train. My questions are:
    - Is it possible to obtain a visum without reservations/ invitations?
    - What should I do to obtain an invitation?
Does someone have good advises concerning this topic?

  27. Prague
    Created by: Milos (milos.landsman@seznam.cz)
[Timestamp: Mon 24 May, 22:14 Scone Standard Time]

    Hello,
Let me give you some information about Prague.
I have been living in Prague for a long time and this info
    only
    shows my own opinion.
These are the main points for people who never visited this
    city :
    1. Prague is very beautiful city.
Old parts of Prague represent the world`s cultural
    heritage.
The downtown Prague is very beautiful and it is worth
    visiting.
Prague`s bookstores are full of different tourist guides
in many languages.I do not want to suggest any historical
    points
to you.Explore Prague by yourselves. But remember there
    are
many old towers that are worth visiting so that you can
    see
    Prague from above.
    2. The downtown Prague is usually crowded with tourists.
Among them there are many pocket thiefs - mainly gypsies
from Balkan countries. They operate not only in streets
    and
squares but also in trams and metro.I recommend all
    tourists
to be attentive to their valuables. Do not hide your
    money
and documents in your bags.Hide your money close to your
    body.
Avoid large crowds of tourist.Do not show your valuables
    in front
    of unknown people.
    3. If you do not speak well Czech you will pay terrible
    amounts
of money for a taxi cab. That is the real situation.
Fortunately there is a cheap way of travelling around
    Prague
    using the public transport.
You can buy a day ticket for about 2 US dollars and you
    can
    change trams/metro/buses for 24 hours.
Metro operates till midnight.Buses and trams have daily
    and night
    lines.
There are many info boards and maps in
    Czech/English/German on many bus
and tram stops and inside all metro stations. There are
    also ticket
machines in metro stations. The ticket info is usually in
    Czech/English/German.
Public transport is a very cheap way of getting around
    Prague.
    4. If you come to Prague`s Main Railway Station you should
    know this:
The place is the main meeting point of Prague`s homeless
    people and
pocket thiefs. Be very careful when you enter the hall.
Watch your valuables and hide your money.
The Main Railways Station is right in the downtown and
    there is a metro
station entrance right in the hall. The main business
    place in Prague
-Venceslas Square is about 5 minutes walk. There are many
    banks where you
can change your money. I recommend Amex tourist cheques.
    You can change
only the amount of money that you need. The rest of your
    money is saved
in case of theft. Amex has the office on Venceslas
    Square.
When you come to Holesovice Railway Station go to metro
    station.
It's in the area of the station.
    5. The people in pubs, shops and other places are sometimes
    not
so helpful like people in other countries. This is a fact
    that
    nobody can change.
We are not rude but we do not care about the western
    rules of behaviour.
But I hope you will meet good people, too.
If you do not want to get ripped off ask about the final
    price before
start eating. You can eat at many McDonalds, KFC, Pizza
    Huts and other
places where you can read the price on the board. There
    are several
    supermarkets in the downtown eg:
TESCO - Narodni street - in Tesco supermarket
JULIUS MEINL - Republic square - in Kotva supermarket
NORMA - Na Porici street - in Bila Labut supermarket

    6. When you need good drinking water remember that MATTONI
    is the best.
GOOD WATER is Ok, too. But MATTONI is very healthy.
It comes from the area of Carlsbad - Czech most famous
    spa.
Blue caps mean that the water is not flavoured.
The water in Prague water system is not dangerous.
You can use it for making coffee and washing without any
    fear.
Nothing happens when you drink it from streets fountains.
    7. Some Prices (average):

    Beer - 0,5 - 2 US$ -large
    Gas - 0,75 US$ - 1 liter
    Big Mac - 2 US$
    Pizza - from 3 US$ -large
    Milk - 0,5 US$ - 1 liter
    Hostels - from 8 US$/night - dorm
    Hotels - from 25 US$/night

    8. Bus tickets:
-For less than 50 US$ you can get to:
    Munich, Berlin, Budapest, Warsaw, Frankfurt
-For less than 35 US$ you can get to:
    Vienna, Bratislava, Nurnberg
-For less than 10 US$ you can get to:
Brno, Cesky Krumlov, Kutna Hora and different Czech
    Mountains
Bus stations and depots are always near metro stations.
    9. English speaking foreigners:
There are several thousands of Americans in Prague.
They have their own pubs, cafes and bookstores.
Ask about Globe Bookstore, Little Glenn Pub, Jo's Bar
Velryba pub, U krale Jiriho, U Knihomola Bookstore etc.
There are also several Irish Pubs and Greek Tavernas.
You will find more when you get to Prague.
10.When you want to go to Czech pubs go to
neighborough of Zizkov - there are many pubs
    a lot of then are open till 2 - 5 a.m.
Remember: Akropolis, U Vystreleneho Oka, Brouk,
Empire, Planeta, U sadu, Amsterdam etc.
Large beer is from 0,3 US$
There are many young foreigners in summer at Zizkov.

Pubs are almost everywhere. Some staff tries to rip off
    foreigners. Always ask about prices.
    Some staff are quite friendly.
    11. Useful websites:

Hi, short of time & looking for advice.. just got a great
suprise! Meeting my boy who I haven't seen in ages in
Greece (thanks to work - cool)..
The plan at the moment is 2 nights Athens - 3 nigts
    Santorini - 3 nights Mykonos - 1 night Athens ... leave
    (sob).. So my questions are:
    * Any nice hotels in any of the aboe - looking around
15,000 dr a double, a bit nice, a bit romantic maybe?? Any
personal favs? Much prefer small & idiosychratic to big &
    impersonal..
    * Athens - Santorini - fly?, ferry? if ferry should we do
    overnight & book a cabin??
    * if I had 3 more days (please, mr boss) should I extend
stay on one of the islands, or is there somthing cool (but
not too much travel time) to so??
Thanks, any suggestions would be cool... very excited..

[Timestamp: Mon 24 May, 7:58 Scone Standard Time]

In Hungary last year a bar had a televised event I had not
seen and would like to know its name. The contestants rode
in rickshaws pilled by a man with a large headdress which
was used to break open a pinata like object. When the puller
was beneath a pinata, the passengers would rare back and
lift the puller up to the pinata so he could puncture it.
There were about five contesting parties in a laned off
arena. The crowd was going wild, and getting a drink in the
bar was impossible during the event. The bartender said it
translated to "The game that knows no international
boundaries, but I haven't been able to get the real name or
a place where it could be seen.

I've heard that taxis in Moscow can be dangerous and
are best avoided. I'm planning on flying into the city
from athens (international airport) and then flying out to
Irkutsk. As far as I can tell the only way between these
two airports is by taxi, which is expensive, and dangerous
especially for an American (excuse my generalizations) Can
anyone tell me if my concern is warranted. Is there
another way? Or should I just not worry about it?
Also, I was looking into going by train from Moscow to
Poland (nowhere in particular) Does anyone know if a direct
rail line exists, and if so do I have to deal with Belorus
or the Ukraine and their wonderfully expensive transit
    visas?

  53. Caucasus/Middle East

[Timestamp: Sun 23 May, 5:29 Scone Standard Time]

Does anybody have a clue on travel in the Caucasus
countries, particularly Georgia and Azerbaijan? I am
planning a trip from Karachi (Pakistan) to Athens (Greece)
via Iran, Turkmenistan (I already have a visa invitation),
Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, but fear that as I have been
able to find so little out about the Caucasus, I may have to
re-route. The only vaguely useful info is in the Trailblazer
Asia Overland guide, but it's so sketchy.
Or would it be a better trip to go from Iran to Turkey and
then south to Istrael? Does anybody know how cheaply I could
pick up a flight to London from Israel?
Back to the Caucasus and Turkmenistan: how likely am I to
find other travellers there? Is there much to see? How long
should I allow to do these places justice (I have three
months in total, and intend to spend about a month in Iran)?
How much is shoestring travel there likely to cost? What's
the climate like? And would anybody be interested in joining
me? I'm a 20-year old UK student who has so far been to
India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, China, Pakistan, Burma,
Cambodia and Tunisia. I consider myself pretty adventurous,
but do like to take it easy with a beer/check out clubland
too (though obviously not in Paklistan, Iran, etc.!)
I have very little time really to get the visas (I have the
Iranian and Pakistan ones already, plus the Turkmen
invitation), so may just go for the Israel option unless
somebody can help me fairly soon: I am flying out from
London Heathrow on 19th June... .
All advice etc. would be VERY gratefully received.
    Cheers!

I am going from Australia to Greece in early September and
travelling north for a few months. I want to do some
volunteer work within Northern Greece, Southern Masedonia
or around the outskirts of the war region.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to volunteer for
humanitarian agencies in these areas? - I have my own funds
and would only be after the basics when I hook up with an
    aid agency.
I have a media communications degree but would be just as
happy digging ditches or working on a convoy as doing PR.
I have tried Greenpeace, Red Cross, Amnesty International
but they are right into the official line of applications
to set positions (which require loads of experience). I am
also 22 which is out of the range of some of the org's.
Also, I want to travel to Croatia and the general area.
How is it finding cheap travel - considering the war going
    on in the region.
I am a New Zealander - how are the locals in the region
likely to react to my nationality??

Any recommendations on mid-price hotels in Urgup?
We'd love a place with some character, and considering when
we'll be there (end of June, beginning of July) I'm betting
we'd die for a place with a pool.
    Thanks.

I am planning to move on like early july for like one and a

If there is anyone who would like to team up with me let me

    Trip won't be a sea-side,partying, cruising trip - I've left

I would like to have someone interested in cultures and

Hi everyone I am an Aussie planning a trip to Russia around

else out there willing to brave the cold at this time of
the year. I would like to meet up with any english speaking
people while I am there as my russian is almost non-
existant. I am thinking of taking the trans siberian rail
journey while I am there also. Is this a good trip or is it
a waste of money? Do you have to organise all the places
you are going to stay before you can get a visa. I can get
a personal invitation from a friend that lives there and I
was wondering if this would give me more freedom to go to
different places without organising where I will be staying
beforehand. Any information or travel tips would be great.

    Hi,
after completing my PhD, hopefully soon ;)
I'm planning a month long holiday around central and
    eastern europe.
As I never done this before I'm not sure where to go
or how much to cram in (as it is supposed to be
a holiday). So I'd appreciate andy thoughts on
the following route (note that this is off the
top of my head, so forgive the spelling mistakes)
    Location Day
    London->Paris 1
    Geneva 2
    Interlaken 3
    Zurich 4/5
    Munich 6
    (Somewhere in Austria) 7
    Viena 8/9
    Bratislava 10/11
    Budapest 11/12
    (Somewhere near Tatras) 13
    Krakow 14
    Warsaw 15/16
    Gdansk 17
    (Somewhere in Germany) 18
    Berlin 19/20
    Prague 21/22
    (Somewhere else in Czech.)23
    (Somewhere in Germany) 24
    Paris 25
    Home
That still leaves a few days for spur of the moment
    desicions. Any thoughts?

Does anyone have any tips-contacts in regard to shopping in

  114. GOING SOLO IN ITALY

[Timestamp: Wed 19 May, 17:43 Scone Standard Time]

I was going to travel in Italy with some family but
unfortunatley they can no longer make it, and we were going
to hire a car and basically start from the Amalfi coast down
south and work our way up with stops in Rome, Tuscany,
Milan, Venice and then onto Germany. Well, I have a dilemma
because this itinerary is very expensive to do solo, so I am
asking if anyone out there has done it on their own and how
easy it is to catch trains, find cheapish accomodation etc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I arrive in
Rome on the 28th of August and plan to travel for 2-3 weeks.
I'd love to hear from anyone who can give me some ideas.
    Thanks a lot! Lu xox

Which one is my best deal? If you have any other hints I'd

    amsterdam - brussels - luxembourg city - stuttgart -
    amsterdam (fly home)
is that way too short? too long? just right? missing

  149. an eye for an eye
    Created by: Ghandi
[Timestamp: Fri 14 May, 10:44 Scone Standard Time]

An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. Bill Clinton
should have gotten off his fat ass and gone to Yugo himself
and negotiated a real peace deal. Not send some gopher to
deliver an ultimatum on an occupation of Yugo.
It is time to be clever and stop being stupid little
destructive monkeys running around the planet. Throw a huge
ass party in Kosovo. Play a concert for millions. Invite
the Pope. Fat ass Clinton can work off his pudge by pushing
    around his bubble.
If you are honest with yourself you see that all 3 sides
have committed atrocities. The Serb police, the KLA, NATO.
Bring them all to the Hague and make them peel potatoes for
the rest of their lives. FREE THE PEOPLE!!!
    We don't want war anymore!!!
The root of all evil is the need for survival. The serbs
the KLA the Kosovars all have no money for sustinance
needs. If we just gave them all the money that we wasted on
the war machine. We could have averted destroying the
    infrastructure and many lives.
    WE MUST BE CREATIVE!!!
It is time to act. Organize and bring millions to Kosovo
for a concert. People will follow, you will see. The answer
is the people. All governments are political and
    corrupt...they all serve the elite.
    END ALL ACTS OF VIOLENCE
Once again as Ghandi said, "An eye for an eye and
    evreyone's blind."

What is the cheapest way to get to Budapest from the US.
All airfares I have found are over us$1000. Would it be
cheaper to fly somewhere else and take the train? (info--I

Does anyone know when LP will be publishing a new edition of

Can someone who's been travelling with this book recently

  154. Cheap flights and Greek Islands

In August I will be arriving in Frankfurt to met up with my
partner and we plan to head straight for the Greek islands.
Does anyone have any information on cheap flights from
Frankfurt to Athens (one way.)What are some islands within
the Cyclades that are not as much part of the huge tourist
scene as Mykonos and Santorini - my ideal place is a fairly
secluded beach with beautiful scenery etc etc. Am I dreaming
that I can escape the hordes??? How much more expensive is
it to catch a flight from Athens to one of the islands?
Any responses to any questions would be most appreciated.
Also - while I am here I may as well ask about
Russian visa's. Is it better to get one in Australia before
I leave? As it is a seperated document from your passport
can I get one by proxy for someone else? How much does it
    cost?
    Thanks.

I will be backpacking Europe this summer for 3-4 months. I
am having a dificult time deciding what size backpack I
should buy. I want to travel as light as possible...max 2
changes of cloths, you know...the bare minimum. I've decided
to get some type of technical internal frame pack, such as
the Lowe Alpine Contour 50 (3000 cu.in.) that is very
comfortable to carry (I plan on doing lots of walking) and
might possibly fit within carry-on regulations. The pack I
buy will also be used for mountaineering when I get back.
    Should I go for a larger 3600-4000 cu.in. pack so I can
carry a sleeping bag and more junk? I'd like to pach my crap
in a 2400 cu.in. bag, but this is probably unreasonable. Any
    minimalist backpacker

    Question:
Just returned from a week in Prague. Had a very good time,
beautiful city, to many tourists but I was one of them so
    can't complain.
The question...was it my imagination or are the people of
Prague sort of blank...the shop owners, clerks, hotel staff
were not unfriendly or rude or nasty they were just
unresponsive. No hello, goodmorning, thankyou's, nothing.
I know English is not as common so that may be part of the
problem. I know there are hords of tourists that have a
tendency to turn the locals off, but other cities like
Amsterdam have a lot of tourists and the Dutch are very
friendly. The only thing I can think of is that it's
a hangover from the Communist period when there wasn't the
incentive to put out much effort.
Would apprectiate other opinions and experiences.
On the otherhand maybe it was my imagination.

  163. Albania
    Created by: Hans
[Timestamp: Tue 11 May, 3:30 Scone Standard Time]

Just arrived back from three weeks in Albania. It's of
course not a holiday destination at this moment, but there
isn't a war going on in the country either. Some basic
    information:
    Travel:
Albania can be reached trough the air, by boat and
overland. Airtravel is not very relaible. Swiss Air,
Austrian, ADA Air and some east-european airlines are
flying to Tirana, but cannot always land. The Americans
have taken over Rinas Airport and they decide whether
civilian airlines get landingrights. Rinas is overfull with
humanitarian reliefflights, military supply flights and
lots of helicopteroperations. As there are also cruise-
missiles flying in the region it is wise to follow American
Guidlines in relation to civilian flights.
Boat; at the moment there are two boats each day from Bari
Italy to Durres Albania. It seems that there is always
space for travellers without cars. make a reservation if
    you take your own transport.
Over land: Albania can be reached form Macedonia (FYROM)
and Greece. Make sure that all your car-papers are in
perfect order or be prepared to stay at the border (or in
    the port of Durres) indefenitely.
    Accomodation
As all the relief-workers, journalists, military and the
better off refugees are competing for accomodation prices
are skyrocketing in Tirana and Durres. The two
international standard hotels (Rogner and Tirana
    International) charge US$ 250 for a room/night. All the
other hotels charge whatever they can get. Expect to pay
around US$ 50 for a simple room with bath in Tirana or
Durres. It's wise to look around for accomodation in
private houses. Ask around; lots of Albanians are willing
to rent out rooms, esspecially for longer periods (a week
or more). Complete appartments can be rented form US$ 1000
    a month.
    Food
Downtown Tirana has numerous restaurants and terraces. An
absolute favourite of ours is Arthur's in a little park
    opposite the Rogner hotel.
    Security
Albania is not safe. Even in Tirana it may be allright to
walk around during the day, but at night there are hold-ups
almost daily. Outside Tirana it's even worse. Lots of
Journalists an relief workers have had money, cars or
belongings stolen. Esspecially the north, near the KOSOVO-
border should be avoided, as in addition to the criminal
elements, there is also occasional shelling.

  168. Is independent travel possible?
    Created by: Crispin
[Timestamp: Thu 6 May, 0:15 Scone Standard Time]

Later this year I understand that Lonely Planet will release its latest guidebook on the Caucusus area (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia et al) - thus completing their world domination. Yep every country in the world is now covered in a LP guidebook. So shortly there will be no escaping the now very familiar sight (in Europe at least) of travellers/holiday makers/backpackers/tourists consulting a LP guide everywhere you go.
You know the scene anywhere on the globe there is someone following a LP walking tour, reciting info about a site verbatim from a book, or visiting the same hostel/restaurant and buying the same museum or train ticket as you.
DonÆt get me wrong IÆm an avid LP reader and have used numerous LP books on my travels. IÆve found them variously a god-send, useful, and inaccurate and alternatively only handy when thereÆs no toilet paper left.
Lets face it - if you or your parents had the idea, foresight or just good fortune to pip the WheelerÆs to the post and release your own series of guide books before them then IÆm sure youÆd be pretty happy with the publishing empire youÆd built, guru status bestowed upon you, and very chuffed at the lifestyle of travel youÆd created for yourself.
My question is with the planet no longer lonely, and a punter on every corner with their nose in a LP guide - is independent travel really possible anymore?

Hi all... just a few questions for... boyfriend and I are
heading off from New Zealand to Europe in late June. Doing
London (my mother lives there), Paris, Rome, Athens and then
    the Greek Islands.
A few things...I know this probably isn't the right thron
tree, but does anyone know if the Pantheon will be open in
July, what with the 2000 buildup restoration and all. I've
studied the Pantheon and it's my dream to get inside!
Next question, and don't worry, I'M NOT GOING TO ASK IS
GREECE SAFE!!!! Hey, every trip is a little
adventure...if I was going to worry I'd be better off
staying at home! But, anyone know of a central, relatively
cheap hotel in Athens that's worth reccommending? Also, the
day we arrive in Athens, we're catching a ferry to
Santorini that night. The plan is to do Ios, Santorini, and
Mykonos. Are we doing the right islands? Yes, I know Ios
is party, party...but is Mykonos too expensive / touristy?
We're on a ferry pass, and plan on 4 /5 days in the
    islands...any suggestions? Also, accomodation...what is
there at 3am (ferry arrival time) in Santorini? And most
importantly, anyone know of a hotel callled 'The Palms" on
Ios / Mykonos....can't remember which. How could I get hold
    of them?
    Thanks all.
    Happy travelling.

...so much? Half of the posts in this group is Americans
asking if it is safe to go to certain countries and if
there's racism. Yes people, it is safe to go to Latvia - the
country is not affected by war in Kosovo. No, there is no
more racism in Europe than in United States. I'm starting to
be sick of questions like these. Why do you people ask them?
Why would any place (except Kosovo, Albania, Yugoslavia) be
affected by the war? Just because they're close? Is
Washington state affected by riots in California? Hell no!
And the racism question... You know who we Europeans have a
problem with? You, the ones who ask that question. You
are the ones who obviously like the topic and who watch
if someone is being racist or not. If you don't piss
people off, no one will touch you. Use common sense, for
the love of God. Why would we be racist against you? Good
God people, get a grip on reality and ask relevant
    questions in this group.

  176. Eastern European literature

Hi, I'm a Russian lit major looking to expand into Eastern
Europe... (figuratively, that is :)... I was wondering if
anyone has any recommended reading - books you've read and
absolutely loved. Anything Eastern European, but not
Russian, and preferably 20th century. For my part, I just
read Ivan Klima's "My Golden Trades" (he's Czech) and loved
    it. Thanks!

  177. Independence for Kosovo
    Created by: Antonis
[Timestamp: Thu 8 April, 3:56 Scone Standard Time]

Yes, let's all fight for an independent Kosovo. And then,
there are other places that are waiting to be freed. So,
let's free Kosovo from Yugoslavia, Kurdistan from Turkey,
Padania from Italy, Corsica and Bretagne from France, the
Basque Region from Spain, Lapland from Finland, Flandre
from Belgium, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland from the
United Kingdom, and let's not forget, California from USA.
If there is an independence movement that I forgot, forgive
and correct me. Let's follow the nationalities principle
to its full extent. Let's change every border there is.
    See what happens then.

  178. Summer in Croatia!!
    Created by: Anita (AJERAT@aol.com)
[Timestamp: Mon 5 April, 13:29 Scone Standard Time]

    Hello fellow travellers!!
If anyone is planning a trip to beautiful Croatia, how
about a small town called Murter?!
It's located on the central Adriatic coast, between Zadar
    and Sibenik.
My father owns a beautiful Inn with breath-taking views.
It's DM70/night for double or single occupancy, and DM10/each
additional person. The suites can sleep about 4 or 5 people.
They are equipped with bathrooms and kitchens.
During the summer, my family also operates "Racic Day Tours"
through Kornati National Park. For DM50/person, you have a
boat trip to and from Kornati with swimming stops in the
Adriatic along the way, as well as a meal and beverage in
    Kornati.
The phone number in Croatia is (22)-434-865. You can also
    phone (22)-434-367.
Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.
I'll be there this summer, so I hope to see you then!
