I am traveling into Romania, then onto Sofia by rail.On my return can I get a visa back into Romania on the train itself or do you have to get off and buy it from a border post ?If so does the train wait for long whilst you do this I can't get a double entry visa as I am not a business visitor. If anyone knows what happens and best practice please let me know. Also cost please of visa at border. Thanks

You'll have to buy it from someone who'll visit you on the
train. Usually it costs $33 (cash), or the equivalent in
other hard currencies. The visa you get on the train is only
valid 30 days, if you want more, visit an embassy. There you
should also be able to get a double entry visa, valid for
two times 4 days 'transit' travel.

about Bucharest, Romania and soon also Transylvania.

I had trouble with these two countries 2 years ago. The
problem was that Romania was in such a bad state that they
had no money for us to exchange to buy a visa to get too
Bulgaria. I know that this is not exactly what you are
asking but I am just highlighting the potential for a
problem with visas in this part of the world.
