Can I get a visa at the border or at the airport? The
Ukrainian consulate says "no" but LP says "yes". I cannot
get one in the US because I am already in Russia. I have
heard it is very tedious to apply for a Ukrainian visa at
the embassy in Moscow . . . and besides it is not on my way
to go to Moscow. So, can I get in or should I forget it?
Also, any information you have on Odessa is welcomed.

A couple of years I ago I tried to get a visa at the
Hungarian Ukrainian border. It would have been possible to
get a three day transit visa for USD 150,00!!! I refused to
pay and was sent back to Hungary. (Luckily there was a duty
free shop - so I could buy a couple for beers).
