Can anyone recommend decent hotels/hostels in Athens that
are decently priced?
THanks

A hostel I 'ne once stayed on,is near the center of the
city, the Omonia square,in Victoros Ougko street. It has very
friendly environment and stuff,it is quite clean and has
very small price(6-10$ per night). It has only 3-bed and
4-bed rooms, but i didn't have any problem with the other
    roomates.

can you help me out by defining "decent"?
What's your price range? What are you looking for regarding
    facilities?

It goes without saying but remember to take a map with your
hostel marked on it when you go out in Athens as we spen
ages looking for our place and no-on seemed to know their
way round- Policeman and Taxi drivers included.
Hence a lot of walking round saying 'I don't rememeber that
red lightbeing so close to our hostel- it must be the next
    road'.
Remember that your accent can make greek words
incomprehensible to those that actually know the language!
And the signs tend to be in the greek alphabet which is jus
    madlooking!
    Have a good tiem though
    Hels
