Last time I was there I stayed in a hotel right in the
centre of town which suited me fine. There are some porn
shops and hookers in the street, but the area is otherwise
quite nice.. The name of the hotel is "Petit Chatelet" and
is situated just around the corner from the Metro Station
Chatelet/Les Halles. You can go there dirctly by train
from the airport. For the Metro ask for a "carnet" which
is ten individual tickets (cheaper than buying them
separately... Stay in Paris for the whole week.. Paris
has more than enough to offer to fill a week
    Have fun..

in Montmartre, with a view of the Sacre Coeur, is new and
clean, and quite cheap (I think it's now about 120FF per
night, which is roughly $22-25US). As for the metro, I
bought a Paris Visite pass which you can get for multiple
days and good for RER and standard metro lines. You can
use it to get to Orly or Charles de Gaulle into the city,
go to Versailles, and ride any city metro line with it. I
thought it was good value. Happy travels!

Azul, check out www.villagehostel.fr. It's not a hotel but
a hostel, but it's clean and you could get a double in a
room if you reserve ahead. Email me if you would like to
know more, I was in Paris at the end of April and also 8
    days ago.
