Poland and Eastern Europe

I'm thinking of traveling to Poland next fall and I would
like information concerning the availability of work -
English tutoring or any related work, writing, dictaction,
etc. I'm particularly interested in living in Kracow or
Lublin. Has anyone been to these places? How easy is it to
find reasonably cheap accomidations in a flat share or room
rental? Any and all information/ideas on Poland appreciated!
Also searching for information on this subject for other
Eastern European countries. Thank you!

Just about everybody here here works 6 days a week.
Especially teachers & office people. I just took it for
granted that I would have sat off. Boy was I wrong. Be sure
to ask. Casual work is possible but who has that sort of
energy? Your employer can only obtain a real work permit
when you're at home. Krakow is a mini prague without
tourists. I can't wait til this job wraps up so I can move
    on.

Pere Lachaisse, thanks for the information. How does a
person go about finding work in Poland? Do you know if a
person needs a TEFL certificate or any other experience to
teach or tutor people in English? How much experience does
a person need to work in an office position? Thank you!

From there click on education/employment/english as a
second language. The qualification thing in this country is
variable. A number of the british & american organizations
    don't require them.
If you're in europe now, you could pop into any language
school to see if they're offering any sort of summer course
or camp. Those that are won't care about any documents. From
there you could offer your services in the office. Your
basic word perfect skills & english polish bilingualism
should be enough. Other aspects of the computer industry may
be different. I don't know. Perhaps look for the "warsaw
    voice". It's all business

check out Dave's ESL Cafe--there are great job listings for
    teaching English, and links elsewhere.
