Does anyone know whether I can get from Turkey to Israel via
the Greek Island of Rhodes without any problems from the
authorities?
I have been told that the Greeks dont like the Turks and
that if you come from Turkey they dont let you in?!?!
Someone inspire me with confidence!

That's a ridiculous rumor. There are daily boats from
Marmaris in Turkey Rhodes. We lived in Turkey for several
years and took holidays in the Greek Islands regularly. The
last time I checked, which was a couple of years ago, you
can indeed travel from Turkey to Rhodes, thence to Israel.
It is exactlly as Miichael said. I was there last autumn.
However, if you have visited Turkish occupied Northern
Cyprus, you might expect serious problems at both Greek and
Cypriot border.
There are regular connections between
Rhodes-Marmaris
Rhodes-Bodrum
and, more north, Kusadasi-Samos.
But why go this way for Israel, when you are in Turkey? Go
south, cross the border to Syria (visa needed, you can get
one in Ankara and probably Istanbul), then Jordan and then
to Israel. Should be no problem, unless you are an Israeli
citizen (I don't think Syria allows Israelis to visit the
country.)
If you go to Rhodes first, you will very likely have to go
back to Piraus, then to Cyprus and then to Israel. Does not
make much sense to me.
BTW: Why did you post this 11 times???
Somewhat nervous, aren't you?
.
Probably the answer to "me".
