The Scenario League offers advice to aspiring designers from some of the best scenario authors on the internet. Here you will find our design tips covering everything from how to edit unit graphics to dealing with the bugs in Fantastic Worlds. We are also very pleased to host some of the files recovered from the Civilization II Artificer's Guild by permission of the author. Recently there have been several guidelines added regarding scenario development for 'Civilization II - Test of Time'.

     General

The Scenario League is always 'on the lookout' for good ideas and better techniques in terms of scenario and modpack development. Already you will find a healthy range of guidelines - from extensive and broad-ranging pointers to succinct and effective 'one-off' additions. If you've recently come across a good idea, or think the 'community' would benefit from your own scenario development expertise - share it! Likewise, if you would like to see some specific aspects of scenario development addressed in this Design Tips section, please raise it in our forum or contact The League.

The Cradle of Civilization

'The Cradle' site's specifically designed for Civ2 Test of Time, and the Dur-Kurigalzu section provides a range of design tips. The full site has scenarios, graphics, modpacks, converters / utilities, and links.
Carl's Scenarios for Civ2 Carl's Scenarios for Sid Meier's Civilization II includes a great, wide ranging Design Help section in addition to plenty of scenarios and other downloads.
Fantastic Worlds - Mercator Mercator's Civilization (or Mercator's Civilization2 Site or Fantastic Worlds or Jorrit's Civilization II Page!) includes a Civ2 Guides section in addition to the outstanding Maps features for which Jorrit is well known, with plenty of other components and downloads to round off the site.
Historical Civilization II Andrew Livings' Historical Civilization II page is designed principally to deal with historical recreations within the Civ 2 environment, the Help for Designers section touches on several areas such as hex-editing.
War Gallery Alex and Captain Nemo have teamed up to provide designers with a few tips in their Guides section of the War Gallery.
