When can I renew my iPhone Developer Program membership?

Your iPhone Developer Program membership can be renewed starting 60 days prior to your existing program expiration date. Memberships can also be renewed anytime after your program expires. Your expiration date can be found in the Your Account section in the Member Center.

Why should I renew my iPhone Developer Program membership?

Renewing your iPhone Developer Program membership allows you to maintain App Store distribution. In addition, renewing your membership gives you the ability to reset your device count, provides you with two Technical Support Incidents, and maintains your access to the iPhone Provisioning Portal. If you are in the iPhone Developer Enterprise Program, renewing your membership allows you to renew the profiles for your in-house applications so that your employees can continue to use your applications.

What happens if I do not renew my iPhone Developer Program membership?

If you do not renew your iPhone Developer Program membership, you will retain your status as an Apple Developer and will have access to free development resources, but you will lose your ability to distribute applications on the App Store and your access to the iPhone Provisioning Portal. In addition, your existing Development and Distribution certificates and provisioning profiles will be revoked and invalidated. You will also lose access to pre-release software, available discussion forums, and Developer Technical Support.

If I don't renew my membership will my application(s) still function for those customers who have already installed my application(s) from the App Store?

Yes. Although you will lose App Store distribution, your application(s) will still function for customers who have installed your application(s) from the App Store on their device(s).

How do I renew my iPhone Developer Program membership if it has already lapsed?

If your membership has already expired, you can still renew your membership at any time. Be sure to use the same Apple ID that you used when you originally enrolled in the iPhone Developer Program.

Do I still have access to the iPhone Dev Center and the iPhone Provisioning Portal after my membership expires?

After your membership expires, you will be unable to access the iPhone Provisioning Portal. However, you can continue to access the latest GM resources for developing with the iOS SDK via the iPhone Dev Center. You will be able to access iTunes Connect but not manage your applications.

What happens to any unused Technical Support Incidents (TSIs)?

Technical Support Incidents you received with program enrollment will expire upon program expiration date. After your new membership year begins, you will have access to two (2) TSIs.

Technical Support Incidents purchased separately from your iPhone Developer Program expire one year from the date of activation; however, you must maintain your membership in the iPhone Developer Program through the expiration date of the purchased incidents in order to be able to access them.

After I renew my membership, can I reset the devices I have assigned for testing and Ad Hoc distribution?

Yes. You are allowed to assign up to 100 devices for testing and Ad Hoc distribution per membership year. At that start of a new membership year, Team Agents and Team Admins can remove devices and restore the available device count for their development team to 100 devices. When Team Agents or Admins first log into the iPhone Provisioning Portal at the start of a new membership year, they will be presented with the option to remove devices and restore the device count for those removed devices. Important Note : Devices can be removed and their device count restored only up until the first new device is added. Therefore, it is important to remove all devices you are no longer using for development prior to adding any new devices.

How do I change my Team Agent Information during the renewal process?

Team Agent Name and other team information cannot be altered during the renewal process. If you wish to make any changes to your information, renew your membership first and then contact us to request your changes.

How do I assign my Individual membership to a new Company during the renewal process?

If you wish to assign your Individual membership to a new Company, renew your Individual membership first and then contact us.

When will my new membership year begin?

Your renewal year will begin after your current program year ends.
