Bayesian Logic training

Your attention wanted:

You get this message because there are more then 15 emails in the Spam Fighter Trainer which have to be rated from you as good (wanted), ignore (neutral) or bad (spammed or unwanted) email.

As the All-in-One SECRETMAKER's Bayesian Logic learns your writing habits you have to determines which words are acceptable and which are not.

As the Bayesian Logic greatly depends on the writing style from you and your regular email correspondents this necessary for proper working. If you do not rate these messages the Bayesian Logic will deactivated herself after a while and less spammed emails are identified.

How to train the Bayesian Logic:

Beginning with the “Bayesian Logic is learning” stage, emails not able to be automatically classified by All-in-One SECRETMAKER's automatism itself, appear in the Spam Trainer.

Approximately 5% to 10% of the emails processed by the Bayesian Logic will be shown and you have to vote on them.

You may identify the email as good (wanted), ignore (neutral) or bad (spammed or unwanted) email.

The email addresses of senders, rated as good messages, are automatically entered in the Spam Fighter White List.

In the search field pecific messages can be located. All fields are searched and hits are shown.

Email may be grouped by marking (hold the Ctrl or Shift key) for voting, or messages may be marked individually.

The Clean Up button will clear voted messages from the list, allowing a clearer overview.

The hotkey for the Spam Trainer is Shift+Ctrl+T.

The 5 stages from the Bayesian Logic

The Logic steps through several stages prior to reaching the final stage, where all options and logic action become active. Some learning stages are visibly shown in the GUI.

These are:

1. Bayesian Logic is preparing – this stage is becomes active, following installation and remains so for approximately 3 days. During this time, the Bayesian Logic is analyzing and preparing itself.

2. Bayesian Logic is learning – the length of this stage depends on the number of emails a user receives or sends. The time may range from 3 days up to several weeks (if a user receives 5 emails a day, or less, the Bayesian Logic is unable to learn the user’s writing habits and will never activate). This stage can not be forced by processing identical emails several times, as it will be blocked by the logic as spammer faking.

3. Bayesian Logic active – the Bayesian Logic has learned a sufficient number of words and can build a so-called elite word group. At this stage, the logic begins rating emails.

4. Bayesian Logic is pro-active – the Bayesian Logic has processed enough emails and adjusted to the user’s habits. The rating of email by the Bayesian Logic is highly refined.

5. Bayesian Logic is deactivated – the Bayesian Logic is deactivated either by disabling it in the preferences or because you did not vote the emails in the Spam Fighter Trainer for a certain time (if so rate the vote the email in the Spam Trainer as good (wanted), ignore (neutral) or bad (spammed or unwanted) and the Bayesian Logic will be activated automatically.
