Disable Caps Lock

If you find yourself pressing the Caps Lock key accidentally as much as I do, note that you can disable it entirely in Mac OS X. Open the Keyboard & Mouse preference pane, click the Modifier Keys button, and in the dialog that appears, select No Action from the Caps Lock pop-up menu. You could remap it to another modifier instead, but that might make using differently configured Macs more difficult.

TCP/IP CC Apology

TCP/IP CC Apology -- My apology to Tim Kelly and Jeremy Kezer for carelessly including a description of Tim's TCP/IP CC control strip module when talking about the Jeremy's Control Strip Modules package in TidBITS-376. The "buckware" tool (it costs $1) is not part of Jeremy's collection of control strip modules; it's one of many neat programs available at the official Tim Kelly software page. [MHA]
