So tell me...at what age should management start teaching them a good
work ethic? At what age should they be taught to pay attention to
customers' orders so they won't screw them up? At what age should they
be taught to follow procedures, and show respect to their superiors?
At what age should they be expected to care enough to prepare the
customers' order right so it won't taste like crap?

It's not impossible. I've seen many teens do their job in a responsible
manner at the stores that give a shit.
