: Well, that 17-year-old is not the only one assigned to those 1000 burgers
: on his/her shift. By my estimated calculations, he/she will build 200 or less
: of those burgers (probably less depending on number of crew workers on the
: shift). Most MCD's separate the person doing filet/chicken sandwiches from all the rest. That filet/chicken person maybe does less than 200 if in a LOW VOLUME store. But the person who is doing all the rest will do a heck of a lot more than 200 sandwiches!!!!
: Out of the 200 or less burgers, how many screwed-up, crappy tasting
: burgers should be tolerated by management, and most importantly, the PAYING
: CUSTOMERS?
Puleeeeze. On my shifts, maybe 1 customer will come up to me and tell me they were disatisfied with a sandwich or that it was made wrong.
: Remember!!! Neither the teens nor the management would have a job
: if it weren't for us!!! For awhile, at a competing burger joint, the crew got my
: order wrong EACH VISIT!!! I finally got tired of it, and told the supervisor in a
: voice loud enough for the crew to hear that his staff needs to learn to READ THE
: ORDER!!! (If not learn to read!!!) I haven't been to that place for a long time,
: as a result.
Oh, good for you. Big man, yells loud. Real mature.
: My dad was enlisted in the Air Force when he was 17. He had MUCH MORE INVOLVED
: responsibilities than flipping burgers!!!
Yeah, but we're not at war. Don't compare the circumstances of 50 years ago to today.
: Before I go, should swearing loud enough for customers and young children to hear
: while they are at lunch be tolerated? How about whining about your job within
: earshot of the customers?
No , it should not be tolerated. That isn't what i'm saying.
: I say, if the teen isn't cutting it, he/she should be terminated, JUST LIKE
: ANY OTHER UNRELIABLE, UNCARING EMPLOYEE!!! I promise, I could
: show you 50 other RESPONSIBLE teens who can replace him/her!!!
OK, send 'em my way.
