Best Browser Microsoft won industry-wide acclaim for the innovations we introduced to the browser interface with Internet Explorer 3.0. Our objective at the beginning of the Internet Explorer 4.0 project was to crank up the dial and take the Internet client a full quantum leap forward—building a browser that would electrify the end user's Internet experience, and providing a foundation so others could contribute to a new generation of exciting, interactive, and functional Web content.
