AutoComplete "remembers" addresses—so you don't have to!

The Internet Explorer 4.0 Platform Preview includes some powerful new navigational tools to help you find information on the Internet, an intranet, or right on your hard drive. One is called AutoComplete.

AUTO-COMPLETE Once you've visited an address, Internet Explorer "remembers" it. The next time you start to type the address, the new AutoComplete feature anticipates where you're going and finishes parts of the address for you.

Auto Complete

You can also select from a list of auto-completions by right-clicking on the Address bar, then selecting Completions from the list.

If you ever want to turn AutoComplete off, choose Options from the View menu, click the Advanced tab, then de-select the AutoComplete feature under Browsing.
