Firewire

The Apple name for IEEE1394.

Focus

Some operations can only operate on the item with focus; only one item may have focus at any one time. A layer item with focus is drawn with a yellow border.

Frame Cache

To avoid repeatedly rendering frequently used frames, EditStudio uses a frame cache which stores these popular frames. The ensures that screen redraws are fast and the program remains responsive. To set the size of the cache, see the EditStudio Options dialog. In general, the larger the cache, the faster the program will run.

Frame Rate

The number of frames displayed every second.
