Most Modifier components have a Background parameter which links to the component they are modifying. The figure below shows a Checkerboard component hooked to the background of the deforming Modifier Waver. |
Modifier components that operate based on two different child components usually have two background parameters called ColorA and ColorB (for the color version). Below is an example of Add's A and B parameters linked to two Fractal components. |

Most Modifiers are 3D in that they apply to all points in space evenly. The exceptions are Mirrored Sections, Radial Twist, Sections, Stretch, and all the Tile Class components which are 2D. All Generator Class components and Time are also considered Modifier components but are covered under 1D. Note: Most Modifier components do generate a representative image on their own, which makes their purpose more easily identifiable. |
