Celebration

Celebration builds on the success of Card Shop, which is also included in this package. Celebration was written by the same author using a similar user interface. It consists of four applications on the theme of Celebrations - Banner, Calendar, Certify and GiftWrap.

Each application has a simple, consistent user interface giving easy access to all functions for even the youngest of children. The end results can be printed out on single sheets, across several sheets, fanfold or even continuous roll paper.

• Banner allows the creation of horizontal or vertical display banners using outline fonts, Draw and sprite files.
• Calendar is used for creating monthly or yearly calendars in a variety of different formats and languages. Again Draw and sprite files can be included as well as the supplied borders.

• Certify allows the creation of personalised certificates with the names being entered individually or from a text file for multiple names eg a class list. Children love to get certificates and this application is used by many teachers to provide certificates in school.

• GiftWrap is a design application essentially for creating wrapping paper, but also for pattern creation and textile design.

Card Shop

This is also included on the Celebration CD and lets you design your own greetings card (Christmas, birthday, Easter, Mother's day etc). It provides a framework within which you can create and manipulate a card containing both pictures and text, print out and construct an envelope for the card and produce rows of 'stamps'. Many features allow easy import of graphics through menu systems and automatic scaling and positioning of fonts.

The interface is written to be accessible for the younger child, although many older children and adults also enjoy using it. Card Shop provides options for producing the finished card. A single sheet can be produced which is then folded in four to produce an A6 card. Or you can produce an A5 card - this requires the paper to be reinserted into the printer. And finally there is the option to produce a card similar in size to the cards bought in shops.

Additional material

Also supplied on the Celebration CD is the entry level version of DrawWorks, DrawWorks SE, a collection of useful fonts and a selection of appropriate clip art.
