New - Mouse overhaul kit. A DIY solution to restore your aging Acorn mouse.
New mice
You have a choice of either cordless or optical (no mouse ball to get clogged up). These are PS2 3 button wheel mice and come complete with a Stuart Tyrell PS2-Acorn adaptor. If you want to source your own mouse (though you probably won't beat our prices) we can supply the PS2 adaptor on its own. We don't bother stocking a range of 'fancy' mice with 17 buttons etc. because if you want anything other than a basic mouse there are 1,000's of different types.
PS2 mouse adaptor
Stuart Tyrell adaptor. Lets you use most PS2 mice on Acorn RiscPC or earlier models (A400, A3000, A5000, A3010, etc.). This is a small lead a few inches long which plugs into the mouse socket and you just plug the PS2 mouse into it.

Optical mouse + adaptor
Optical wheel mouse complete with STD PS2 adaptor. I use one of these myself. Beautifully smooth operation and no more fluffy balls to clean.

Free mouse
Buy a PS2 mouse adaptor and get a FREE 3 button wheelmouse. Not only is this cheaper than the price some dealers charge for a replacement Acorn mouse, but you can always replace your 'freebie' mouse with a more expensive optical or cordless one later as you've got the PS2 adaptor.
You pay just the price of the PS2 adaptor (£24) plus £2 UK carriage, total £26 or £3.50 outside UK, total £27.50.

A7000 mice.
We normally have original Acorn A7000 PS2 mice. These are fully overhauled with new switches where appropriate. As these are 'proper' 3 button mice they are a good alternative to a wheelmouse for use with the PS2 adaptor if you don't like having the middle button under the scrollwheel.

Heavy mouse balls.
If you have an Acorn mouse with the lightweight (black) mouse ball we can supply a heavy replacement ball which makes the mouse much nicer to use. When you fit one of these you really will wonder how you've managed with the original lightweight ball.
Price is just £1.25 plus £2 UK carriage for up to 8 balls.
Outside UK carriage is £2 for the first ball and 30p for each additional ball.
Mouse overhaul service.
If your mouse is getting old and especially if the buttons are not working properly (one common symptom is that a mouse click sometimes behaves like a double-click) then we offer an overhaul service. We disassemble and clean the mouse and fit 3 new microswitches and a heavy mouse ball. Normally this will make your mouse as good as new. Price is just £6 plus £1 UK return post, £2 return post outside UK.
Note that this is not a repair service. Your mouse should be in generally good working order and undamaged
DIY mouse overhaul kit.
If you don't want to return your mouse to APDL for reconditioning but prefer to do it yourself then this is the answer. The kit consistes of three replacement microswitches which will fit the Logitec mice supplied with the RiscPC, A3010, A3020 or later A5000, any CPC mouse, Clares mouse or the A7000/A7000+ mouse plus a heavy mouse ball which is essential if your mouse has one of the standard lightweigh black balls. There's also a printed instruction sheet that takes you through the process.
If you've got one of the earlier 'square' A5000 mice this kit can be used but we advise against trying to replace the switches on these yourself which is difficult as they're soldered to both sides of the PCB.
All this for just £2.50 plus £1 UK carriage for one kit, 50p carriage for each additional kit.
Outside UK please add £1.60 carriage for one kit, 80p for each additional kit.
Where more than one kit is purchased only a single instruction sheet will be provided.
