Moiré-Cancel-Function An
undesirable effect which particularly occurs on screened images or critical
background patterns is the so-called Moiré. Mitsubishi Electric's
Moiré-Cancel-Function ensures that these irritating effects are
immediately banished from the screen. A special ASIC chip enables the user
to compensate for the Moiré through H-phase modulation.

Moiré is a form of interference between the physical resolution
of the shadow mask and the actual resolution of the image source.

so-called "ON-OFF- Pattern" can cause considerable Moiré problems
which appear on the image in the form of ring-shaped shadows.
With
Mitsubishi's Moiré- Cancel-Function, every second line of the
image can be shifted and the Moiré erased.
