There are limits to everything

Give me a break, Luke!!! There are limits to everything whether you like it or not! In most parts of the USA, if a lady was caught topless in public, she would be arrested for indecent exposure. And if I showed up for work in a dress and high-heels, complete with make-up, my bosses would definitely take issue with that. Quite simply, it's unproffessional, and doesn't give my bank a good image. I don't do that on my own time, either.

As for drug tests, McDonald's and the other firms have a right to make sure that they are hiring a responsible person. Probationary periods are common, and I have no problem with a new employer checking my background and monitoring my performance during that period. And as long as they are accurate, I have no problem with a random drug test. And if I did get a false positive, hopefully they are not the type to can me, no questions asked. Now, after I've proven that I am worth my keep, then I agree they need to back off and acknowledge that I am a trustworthy person.

As for people having problems with drug tests, well not to accuse anyone, but it makes me wonder about them. I'm not worried because I don't do illegal drugs.

As for "existing outside the sytem", well yeah you could join the mafia, become a drug dealer, fence stolen goods, or as you mentioned, be a "male prostitute". But all these activities are illegal, and you would be subject to going to prison, getting beaten, tortured, or being killed by anyone you might cross, or someone who doesn't want to pay you for services rendered.

Nothing is absolutely secure, but the above definitely has no guarantees. Working at McDonald's sounds a hell of a lot better. And again, whether you like it or not, there will be limits and bounaries at the workplace. You won't get your way on everything, and you won't get to do whatever you please.
