Convergence

Convergence
means the positioning of the three electron beams with respect to each other. When the beams lay directly on top of each other it is the optimal configuration for a clear white pixel. If this is not the case, there will be coloured edges and less sharpness
at lines and signs.
To
check the level of the convergence distortion for your monitor, the Mitsubishi
Monitor Test offers four test patterns:

also check for coloured edges on the corresponding test patterns. By switching
off single colours, you can more accurately determine which colour is not positioned exactly. |
High quality
monitors offer the possibility to adjust the convergence using the OSD. |
