"Simon" Set To Star on Silver Screen
Scott Wolf isn't the only Columbia TriStar television star making it to the big screen -- Harland Williams, a.k.a. "Simon," recently announced his plans to star in the movie rendition of "Beetle Bailey!" First, Williams will be seen in "Down Periscope," with fellow television star and comedian Kelsey Grammer. On the feature film side, Williams appeared in the smash hit "Dumb and Dumber" with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.

Take a peek at What's New in the world of television.

Harland Williams bursts on to the scene as "Simon" , the charmingly naive and disarmingly funny program executive at Vintage Television (VTV), a golden-oldie cable channel, on "Simon," a new half hour comedy from the creator of "Mad About You."

A certified couch potato, Simon is an expert on the finer points of early television series, but doesn't see the danger in the Harlem neighborhood where he lives with his brother, Carl ( Jason Bateman), a thirty-year-old out of work executive whose wife just left him.

Simon's first friend in the neighborhood is John Doe (Clifton Powell ), the ex-con who isn't the landlord, but "runs the building" nonetheless. Carl, continually skeptical of John's intentions, makes it clear from the beginning that he doesn't trust John or his sudden kinship with Simon.

Watch out for some nasty office politics Simon style and adventures that only Simon could get caught up in.
