"Ned and Stacey," a newlywed couple who have just met.

Stacey Colbert (Debra Messing) is a 30-year-old writer for the Village Voice. Nearly left at the alter, Stacey is depressed and looking for an apartment of her own so she can move out of her parents' house, but so far, every decent place is way out of her price range. Ned Dorsey (Thomas Haden Church) is a mid-level ad exec on the fast track. Learning the promotion he is starving for is about to go to someone else -- just because Ned is single -- Ned decides to punt, declaring his own wedding is only a week away.

Fixed-up by Stacey's sister, Amanda (Nadia Dajani), and her husband, Eric (Greg Germann), what begins as a confrontation ends in a collaboration of sorts, and, before you know it, Stacey has a new place to live and Ned's marital problems are over. Or, are they just beginning?
