Popular television actress Lori Loughlin ("Full House") plays Melanie Clifford, an ambitious journalist for the Hoboken Reporter who becomes involved with Canetti both professionally and personally. Promoted from her position as an obituary writer to a police beat reporter, Clifford is a tenacious, idealistic and cause-driven Brown University graduate who hides her insecurities behind a veil of toughness.
While sparring with Melanie, Tony maintans a friendly relationship with ex-wife Lucy (Shareen Mitchell), with whom he shares joint custody of their precocious 10-year-old son, Mickey (Frank John Galasso).
"Hudson Street is a sophisticated comedy that portrays the relationship between Canetti and Clifford along the lines of a Spencer Tracy/Katharine Hepburn pairing," commented Danza. "It's a case of 'opposites attracting,' with Canetti and Clifford being put together and pulled apart, over and over again. In this way, the relationship builds gradually -- but not without a few fireworks along the way," he added.
Check out the sparks and Tony's undying charm in Hudson Street.
