Buck, 13 (91 in dog years), the French briard who for almost 10 seasons starred on "Married With Children" passed away of natural causes on May 25th. Buck was the smartest and arguably the cleanest member of the Bundy clan. We'll miss you old friend.
Peg and Al have been together, for better or worse, for more than two decades. How they survive their relationship is the basis for "Married...With Children," Columbia Pictures Television's top-rated prime time half-hour comedy airing Sundays at 9:00 p.m. (ET) on FOX. Currently the longest running comedy on the air, "Married...With Children " recently celebrated a television milestone, taping the show's 200th episode.
Now in its tenth season, "Married...With Children" represents a distinct departure from the saccharine-sweet television families viewers have known since the days of "Father Knows Best." With unflinching honesty, "Married" paints a painfully funny picture of a not-so-typical middle-class American family.
Al Bundy, played by Ed O'Neill, is a hard-working, blue-collar kind of guy who sells ladies' shoes, a career he describes as "minimum wage slow death." From 9-to-5 he's on his knees attempting to squeeze size nine feet into size six shoes. While Al's slaving to bring home the bacon, Peggy, played by Katey Sagal , is busy at home - lounging on the sofa, bon bons in one hand, remote control in the other, trying to chooose between Ricki & Tempestt.
Bundy offspring -- "socially-adventurous" Kelly Bundy, played by Christina Applegate, and party animal Bud, played by David Faustinoadd young adult angst, Bundy style, to the family. Buck, the family mutt, whose amorous exploits have incurred the wrath of the neighborhood, rounds out the Bundy clan.
Next-door-neighbors Marcy and Jefferson D'Arcy, played by Amanda Bearse and Ted McGinley, in return for having to live next door to Al, browbeat him at every opportunity.
