Switzerland will reopen its embassy in Algeria after more than three years of absence. Switzerland is the second European country to reopen an embassy in Algeria. Last week, Austria announced diplomatic representation in Algeria will reopen this summer.

The Algerian capital, Algiers, is the most hazardous city in the world for business travellers, according to Kroll Associates, an American business-intelligence specialist. Other dangerous cities listed in the survey (which excluded war zones) include Bogota in Colombia, Caracas in Venezuela, and Johannesburg in South Africa.
