CD Mastering and small quantity production.
We can carry out CD mastering and offer a fast, low cost, service and can advise on most aspects of CD production and arrange manufacture if required.
We can also produce CDs in-house with or without printing. This is ideal for limited production (10's up to several hundred) or we can supply pre-printed CDR discs for you to write yourself. Prices from less than £1 each. We provide pre-printed CDR's to many well known RISC OS software suppliers.
Archimedes Gamemakers Manual
This is primarily for overseas customers who would like a copy of this book but don't want to pay the high cost of airmail for a heavy item.
Price is just £5.90.
Ergane
Ergane is a Freeware translating dictionary program written by David O'Shea. It uses the dictionary files from the web site of Travlang Ltd. who specialise in language teaching. Go download it yourself if you like
- but there's over 50Mb of data on this CD and all the files have to be converted, so. . . . . . .
Over 50 languages are supported, although some have only a couple of hundred words.
As well as the Ergane program there is a lexicon collection consisting of lists of words. These include foreign languages, technical and proper names. Ideal for adding to spelling checkers so you can use them with foreign languages etc.

MenuBar.
Absolute essential for every hard disc user. It puts a bar across the top of the screen with pull-down menus which can launch tasks, load files, open directories, etc. Each bar can have up to ten menus, and each menu up to 30 items. You can have 30 separate bars and switch between them, so you can set up different menu systems for different tasks. Highly recommended (it's the one I use myself). Upgrades from Version 1, previously sold by Beebug, are available for £7.50.

Locus.
Formula based mathematical graph plotter by Richard Sharpe. Probably the best available at any price. Lots of features, can accept input in a variety of ways including direct formula (it has a library of ready-to-use formulae) and CSV. Despite its complexity it's very easy to use and was written by a teacher for use in schools, both as a teaching aid and as a serious statistical and analytical tool.

PD-1 and PD-2
PD-1 contains most of the 'serious' software in the library, that is, the useful applications and programs. As well as over 1,800 programs there are things like the TeX package, GNU C++, and many text files including dozens of out-of-copyright novels and the works of Shakespeare. All this on just one CD!
PD-2 is the less serious one. It has around 700 games and novelties, over 250 games cheats and more than 200 Demos. There are many popular music players and more than 400 Maestro tunes, 840 Tracker tunes, 1000 Digital Symphony tunes and over 550 sound samples in various formats.
Separating the two CDs in this way means that you don't have to buy several to get the type of program you want.
PD-1 and PD-2 cost just £7.90 each or £15 for the pair.
!Draw Tutorial
!Draw is a very powerful application, but the manual supplied is not very helpful. This CD is a comprehensive tutorial by Tom Beeley, with lots of example Drawfiles for you to practice on. You can either treat it as a step by step tutorial, and there's even a checksheet for you to tick off each lesson, or just 'browse' and learn about the things that interest you.
Highly recommended for personal or school use and only £14.50.
Earth Data
EarthData is a geographical database containing a variety of data on every country of the world. A simple menu-based interface gives access to all data. Features include:
- Many categories of up-to-date data for each country.
- Graphing of data within countries.
- Each category of data can be disabled to simplify the menus.
- Overall data for the world.
- Location maps showing the position of each country.
- A world map giving a more detailed view.
- Reports on each country can be created.
- Draw files of each country's national flag.
- Thumbnail flags next to the name of each country on the menus.
- Select of countries by filter, eg. Area greater than 1,000,000 sq km
- Selection filters can be combined.
- Graphing of data comparing selections of countries.
- Mapping of selections of countries.
- Export of data as a Comma Separated Value file.
As well as the EarthData program the CD includes !EarthMap, a highly detailed scrolling map of the world, taken from the 130Mb of data in the CIA World Data Bank. This can be viewed and zoomed in and out in a desktop window and the contents of the viewing window can be saved as Drawfiles for use in projects etc.
Not only is this CD extremely useful and easy to use, it's also at the unbelievable price of just £7.90 including VAT and UK carriage.
PowerBase.
I doubt if there are many users who will not find that PowerBase does everything they require from a database, and at a fraction of the price of most commercial offerings. Easy to set up and use and comes with a Tutorial and several example files. It's been around for many years, has been expanded and improved over this period and is currently at version 8.
Masterfile (see APDL - ProAction range) is probably easier to use and set up for the beginner, but Powerbase has some more advanced features.
Powerbase costs just £15 inclusive from APDL, and comes with printed Manual and Tutorial.

Education Resources CD
Produced in responce to demand for a realistically priced CD with most of the things schools need. There's a good collection of clip art (more than 5,000 selected items), most of the textfiles listed in the Literature section of the catalogue (includes Shakespeare and many classic novels), word lists, over 300 programs, manuals for several popular commercial programs used in schools, mutimedia applications, plus lots more! No school should be without this - and it's not just for schools, the clip art alone is worth more than the price of the CD!

Clip Art and Images
DTP-1, DTP-2 and DTP-3
These contain Acorn format graphics files. DTP-1 and DTP-2 each have over 500Mb of material and DTP-3 has more than 725Mb. There is no duplication between the three CDs, so buy all three and have a huge library, all in ready-to-use Acorn Draw, Sprite or Artworks files. These CDs are very popular with schools who appreciate the vast quantity of material, much of it of relevant to educational use, at a very reasonable price - and most schools will be entitled to s free network licence.
The cost of the DTP CDs is -
- DTP-1 and DTP-2. Each have over 500 Mb of material in Acorn format Draw, Sprite or Artworks files. There is a program on the CD that lets you browse through the contents and display the files in a desktop window. Price is £6.90 each.
- DTP-3. Like the other DTP CDs the contents are all in Acorn format, but this CD has over 725Mb. The price is now only £9.90
DTP-4
This CD is intended as a replacement for DTP-1 and DTP-2. It contains much of the material on these two CDs, but in many cases it has been improved and enhanced and some files which were previously Sprites have been converted to Drawfiles. There are over 12,000 DTP files plus more than 400 Artworks files and 171 high quality 256 colour images. In fact there's so much that we've had to compress most of the contents to fit it on the CD.
With such a huge amount of material you need to be able to find what you want, so it's all catalogued with a full file list, an improved version of our !CDview program, and thumnail images.

The Grafix CD
Originally produced by Fabis, who have left the RISC OS scene, so we've taken it over. Around 1000 photo quality JPEG pictures plus several hundred clip art files. There are also over 1,200 texture files in both GIF and Sprite format suitable for HTML docs or desktop backgrounds and over a thousand GIF buttons and icons for use in your web pages. The CD is readable on Acorn, PC or Mac.
Invaluable for a variety of purposes, home, business or education, and a useful resource for web page creation.

Publish Art
A great collection of more than 3200 useful clip art images and over 3000 web resources. All very high quality, duplicated in both Draw and Artworks format for RISC OS and WMF format for the PC or Mac. Originally sold for nearly £40.
This CD is cross platform, and is an invaluable utility for anyone engaged in amatuer or professional DTP work or web design. Most items are indexed using HTML thumbnails.

Fantasy pictures CD
This is by request from our customers. In the Graphics section of the library is a collection of 45 discs of fantasy art. Many of these are 'Sword and Sourcery' genre, ie. muscular men weilding swords, scantily clad but capable women and ferocious monsters. They are all sprite files that can be loaded into applications or are just great as backdrops. This CD has recently had even more material added and there are now over 320 high quality pictures on this CD, in sizes up to 1800 x 1300, plus a complete 'thumnail' catalogue.

APDL Games Collection CD No.1
This CD was produced in responce to a request for a low lost collection for people who don't want to plough through the hundreds of games on our PD-2 CD and then mess about de-archiving and wondering if they'll work
on your machine. There are twenty tried and tested games in this collection. Maze games, platform games, flight simulators, Tetris and Breakout clones. Something for everyone.
