Introduction.
Znippetizer-X is a small tool, to help programmers, writers, scientists,
lawyers and other people who need to quickly sort, organize and categorize
things.
How does it work?
Znippetizer-X has a small global floating window (with a Z in it), where
you can drag any text. Any items dragged here are stored in a database, and
grouped. All new items are stored in the currently selected Snippetgroup,
and can then later on be moved to any other group.
By clicking on the "Z", the Znippetizer-X windows zooms, and you get full
access to the groups and lists of items, and you can drag any item from the
list to any other application that can recieve a text drag. You can zoom
any snippet and select parts from it, copy from it. You can drag text files
to the Znippetizer-X window, and also paste new snippets into it. You can
also edit a snippet in the close up window.
A little note on Znip-o-matic.
Znip-o-matic is a really powerful way of znipping without having to switch
application or use drag and drop. You have to go to the preferences panel
and configure your personal Znip-o-matic HotKey combination. It requires at
least two of the four modifier keys, Shift, Command, Control and Option
plus one other key. When you have done that, and enabled Znip-o-matic, all
you have to do is to select the text you want to znip, and then press your
Znip-o-matic HotKey combination, and release it again. The znipping occurs
when the keys are released.
Going a bit technical for you who really wanna know. What Znippetizer-X
does is to send the key-combination Command-C to the frontmost application.
Therefore, it cannot send that until you have let go of your keys.
Example:
You select Command-Control-Z as your Znip-o-matic HotKey combination. If
Znippetizer-X did send Command-C while those keys were down, the result
would be Command-Control-Z-C and not Command-C.
Feature set.
* Hotkey snipping with znip-o-matic.
* BabelFish=81 translation of snippets, up to 150 characters.
* Imports QuickDex datafiles.
* Imports and exports to and from any headertagged textfile format.
* Fast searching.
What it doesn't do.
It doesn't handle graphics or any other kind of dragged items.
Limitations in a non registered version.
The number of snippets are limited to 50.
You can only create 5 new groups.
Importing is disabled, and find is party crippled.
Creating new Znippets manually is disabled.
Importing znippets from a textfile is disabled.
Exporting znippets to a textfile is disabled.

Znippetizer-X changes history:
1.4 The snippetlist can now be quicksearched by typing a key, and the list
will scroll to a snippet beginning with that character.

databases, where Znippetizer-X opens the last opened database upon startup.

printed text to go off the edge of the paper.
