What are people saying?

Right from the start, MacTech Conference 2010 became an International conference. Attendees are coming from a majority of U.S. States, and countries ranging from Sweden to Japan.

What do they have to say about why they registered? Take a look for yourself.

"I decided to attend the MacTech conference for the simple reason that nothing short-cuts my learning curve and increases my productivity like getting insider tips from my colleagues. Keeping up with the ever-changing trends and improvements in both commercial and open-source tools is a daunting task. By taking part of my team to the conference, we know we can get a jump start on new tools and techniques because many of the folks leading the sessions understand our business model so well and understand the challenges we face day-to-day. Hope to see you there!"

- Rob Calvert, President

"MacTech Conference promises to have all the knowledge sharing of other events, but without the distractions of that come with companies targeting consumers. I am looking forward to seeing my fellow Apple Consultants Network members, as well as putting faces to so many other new names I've seen in the past year."

"Since there's no tech camp this fall, I need my yearly geek fix and, well, I need to see my old pals and make new connections. When Ed announced the conference I gave it some thought. I trust and respect Ed Marczak (don't we all here), I took a look at the sessions that he and the MacTech team put together. The decision became obvious. I'm in! And the choice between staying in Chicago or spending time in LA for a few days in November is NOT a difficult choice to make.

I'm a Business owner, consultant, past Advisory Council member, mom, and knitting fanatic. Oh yeah, I'm Apple Certified-everything too. As such, my thought is that you should only go if you want to learn something, want to meet old friends, want to make new contacts, and have some fun...all at once."

Pam Lefkowitz, President
Core Computing Technologies, Inc.

"I am going for the developer's track. I am a huge fan of Ed Marczak, who is one of the smartest computer guys that I know. Not only does he know about the Mac, he knows about other operating systems too. Anytime that Ed makes a comment, I pay attention. Since he is also the editor of MacTech Magazine, I am sure the MacTech Conference will be interesting and technical.

Did you notice that this is not an Apple NDA event? That's a big plus. If you really want to think differently, this is the conference! It's the first ever MacTech Conference, so we will not have to sit through the slide shows of previous MacTech conferences, watch yet another remote desktop presentation, or learn once again about the golden triangle.

Should you go? If you would be spending all your time checking the ACN list, or complaining about not getting leads from the Apple store, then you should probably stay at home or go to Los Angeles and visit Disneyland. If on the other hand, you want to think differently, and be on the ground floor of what surely will be a yearly conference, go for it!

I will be driving down from the SF Bay Area. If anyone wants to carpool with me, that would be great. I am leaving Tuesday morning, the day before the conference and arriving at the hotel that night."

"I am excited about attending (and speaking) at MacTechCon2010 due to the fantastic conference lineup which seems to focus on an "holistic" growth for us as IT professionals. I look forward to three days of sessions to meet (and pick the brains of) this diverse group of people and their collective wealth of knowledge. In short, I have the utmost confidence I will return to Austin, TX with new friends, wonderful experiences, and invaluable knowledge (cha-ching)."

"The MacTech Conference is going to be a great opportunity to learn from leaders in their respective Mac related fields. I'm looking forward to getting the most out of sessions led by industry experts and to make connections with peers that have already solved problems I may be encountering in my own business. Networking with colleagues is equally important and to know that the conference is put on by the folks responsible for MacTech Magazine only solidifies how serious and professional the event will be. I can't wait!"
