Paradigma Ships Valentina 2.2 Universal Binary for C++ Mac

ANNOUNCES VALENTINA MAC-ON-INTEL STRATEGY

February 21, 2006. Beaverton, Oregon. Leading multi-platform database
vendor Paradigma Software, Inc, makers of the ultra-fast Valentina 2 Office
Server, announce its Mac-on-Intel strategy and the release of Valentina 2.2
for C++ for Mac OS.

Valentina 2's next generation, object-relational database model builds on
the traditional relational database model much like C++ builds on top of
the C language. All that you know from working with traditional database
systems from IBM, Oracle and Microsoft also apply to Valentina-based
development. This robust technology excels at ultra fast management of
millions of records.

Valentina 2.2 Technology release includes Valentina 2.2 ADK C++ for Mac,
which includes a universal binary version for developing powerful database
solutions for Apple's Macintosh on Intel. Valentina 2 C++ ADK Standard
Edition for Macintosh is available for use with Apple xCode for $199. In
addition, Valentina Studio, Admin Edition 2.2 Mac ($59), in open beta, is
immediately downloadable and also in universal binary format. Valentina
Office Server universal binary version is under development.

Version 2.2 includes several additional performance improvements in all
Valentina 2.x based products. The Application Developer Kit for Macromedia
Director includes a single new function that allows execution of almost any
SQL command. The ADK for REAL Software's REALbasic include new ODBC related
record navigation methods and new ArraySet and BitSet functions.

"Valentina ADKs provide the best database engine available to Mac OS X
developers, and it is now available on Intel processors without having to
resort to Rosetta emulation. As soon as all IDE vendors complete their
ports to support the new Mac-on-Intel architecture, they will find us
waiting -- we are ready," said Lynn Fredricks, president of Paradigma
Software.

All customers who have licenses for the Valentina 2.x products will get the
upgrade to 2.2 for no additional cost.
