Toon Boom releases Animate Pro 2.0

Toon Boom Animation has released Toon Boom Animate Pro 2.0 (http://www.toonboom.com/products/animatepro/), an update of its high-performance animation software for professionals.

New feature highlights include: fast distribution of character parts to layers; the ability to adjust velocity on multiple character parts; efficient creation of richer-looking ambiance; full-fledged SWF export with new vector effects; direct import of scanned drawings (TWAIN); and expanded text capability.

Animate Pro 2.0 is designed for serious animators, offering award winning state-of-the-art content creation, animation and compositing toolset for any animation style within a single all-in-one desktop application, says Toon Boom President/CEO Joan Vogelesang. She says it combines state-of-the-art vector technology, real-time animation tools and nodal compositing to simplify the conception of complex effects. It sports non-destructive and resolution independent workflow, and features a new 3D space environment.

Toon Boom Animate Pro is for Mac OS X on Intel-based systems and for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista platforms. You can buy Toon Boom Animate Pro 2 now at the special pre-launch price of US$1,499.99, valid until April 16. As of April 9, all new clients will receive a Toon Boom Animate Pro 1 product code. Upon product release, all Animate Pro 2 customers will receive by email instructions on how to access their version 2 product code. All orders requiring shipping will be processed upon product release.
