STUFFIT COMPRESSION DEVELOPMENT KIT
NOW AVAILABLE FOR WINDOWS, SOLARIS, & LINUX

StuffIt(tm) Technology Leads the Industry as the Only Cross-Platform,
Multi-Format Compression Solution

New York, NY Macworld Expo, Booth #1319 - July 17, 2001- Continuing its
lead in providing universal compression solutions for all major computing
platforms Aladdin Systems (OTC BB: ALHI) today released the StuffIt
Engine(tm) Software Developer Kit (SDK) for Windows, Linux, and Solaris.
These releases will allow developers to integrate compression into their
project, whether the goal is to wrap a group of files chosen on the fly
into a single self-extracting archive appropriate to the user's computer,
or reducing the time it takes to send/receive files.

""""""""With this release of the StuffIt Engine SDK's, enterprise, product, and
Web developers, can quickly and easily integrate compression into their
project,"""""""" said David Polzine, StuffIt Engine product manager. """"""""Aladdin now
provides developers with a single source from which to license their
compression solutions.""""""""

The SDK supports the following compression and encoding formats: StuffIt,
Zip, Gzip, Tar, Rar, Bzip2, Uuencode, Unix Compress, Binhex, MacBinary and
more (for a complete list visit: www.stuffit.com/info/full_sdk.html) and
all formats are accessible via a single application program interface (API).

The SDK is appropriate both for compiled programs and popular web-scripting
languages while the StuffIt format is Unicode compliant for compatibility
with two-byte languages such as Chinese.

Availability
The Aladdin StuffIt Engine SDK is available for download at:
www.stuffit.com/info/full_sdk.html and is licensed directly from Aladdin
Systems. License fees vary by type and scope of project; to apply for a
