STAZ SOFTWARE SHIPS FUTUREBASIC 4

August 4, 2004, Diamondhead, MS; STAZ Software, Inc.

With FutureBASIC 4, the fastest, most powerful Macintosh BASIC just got better.

FutureBASIC 4 comes with its share of great new features and enhancements.
The IDE has been totally rewritten for carbon and sports a completely new
editor and project manager. All menus and operations have been tightened
and streamlined.

A new button bar in the project manager window allows speedy access to
simple tasks such as running, checking syntax, and building applications.
There are also buttons that run the debugger or profile the application to
calculate microseconds spent in each function.

New menu options simplify and extend FutureBASIC 4. A Recent Items menu
separately tracks recent projects and recent text files. There is a history
menu that follows your editing actions throughout the session. Select any
toolbox function and FutureBASIC 4 will look it up on Apple's web site for
you. Select any keyword and the help menu will display information about it
in the online help system. There's even a built-in scripting system that
you can use to build XML scripts to automate editing actions.

FutureBASIC has a suggested retail price of $169 for individual copies and
is sold by subscription. Upgrades are shipped on CD for a period of one
year. Renewal price is $99. Reviving an expired subscription is $129.
Updates for FutureBASIC II and I users are $149. Lab packs and site
licenses are also available. The software is distributed by STAZ Software,
Inc. (800) 348-2623, or on the web: (http://www.stazsoftware.com/)

For more than eighteen years FutureBASIC has been empowering a wide range
of Mac programmers worldwide to create fast, professional applications.
With its speed and power, FutureBASIC 4 is truly a new carbon life form.
