Hope all is well. After some time of developing, we, at ABT Data Consulting
(in conjunction with Frederick Cheung) are releasing what we believe is the
best all time download accelerator/manager for the MacOS; Speed Download
1.5. Ready for MacOS X, this utility installs no system extensions, no
control panels, no silly gadgets, hence results in no conflicts, just PURE
SPEED and PERFORMANCE. Some of its greatest features are:

- Multithreading: download as many files as you want, simultaneously.
- Works with Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera. More browser support
Coming soon too.
- Open up to 32 connections per file
- Support for both ftp and http protocols
- Support for both http and ftp proxies
- Resumable downloads
- Applescriptable
- Contextual menu plugin ensures integration with browsers or other
applications
- Download queue that supports schedules
- Carbonised for optimal perfomance under Mac OS X
- MP optimisations when running OS 9 or higher

Our aim with Speed Download is to have it fully integrated within the OS,
so that it feels like it was always there, or rather always supposed to
have been there. Our test labs, as well as some of our select customers
have all returned very positive feedback, and so it is with great pleasure

Current requirements:
Speed Download X: Mac OS X 10.0.0 or later.
Speed Download Classic: Mac OS 8.6 or later.

Speed Download is exclusively available on the Mac platform.
