use in 4th Dimension.

Serial ToolKit X is a vast improvement over the native functionality
available in 4D's programming language. Serial ToolKit X contains commands
to completely manage local serial ports, including open connections,
closing connections, port configuration, send and receiving data, and
retrieving serial port parameter and configuration infomations.

With Serial ToolKit X you can:

get a list of available serial ports (including additional serial
ports added by PCI or Nubus cards, USB adapters and PCMCIA
cards);

open and configure a serial port (speed, parity,
hand-shake, etc);

change the serial port buffer size;

send and receive information;

and much more!
