SeeFile 4.5, Affordable DAM Software that Replaces FTP

SeeFile 4.5, Affordable DAM Software that Replaces FTP

Boston, MA - May 22, 2008 -- SeeFile Software, the leading developer of
affordable collaborative DAM software, is pleased to announce the next
release of its digital asset management product, Seefile 4.5. Customer
shipments and demo downloads are available starting June 1. The product
will be demonstrated by Pro2Col, SeeFile's UK distributor, at the Drupa
Innovation Parc, Hall 7.0, Creative Production Parc E.

New features in this release include:
* Improved performance (Making use of new 10.5 Leopard technology)
* Automatic User Expiration for temporary access
* Share any volume or folder visible by OSX
* Superior management of metadata fields
* Better support for video file formats
* Support for a wide range of camera RAW formats

SeeFile 4.5 focuses on making the user experience both on the
administrative side and client side more fluid. SeeFile runs as webserver
software on any OSX Mac, turning it into a "live" web server that provides
a continuous view of all digital files saved on the hard disk. SeeFile
replaces FTP servers with an elegant web interface, so there is no need for
FTP software on the client side. SeeFile 4.5 can also be a handy Digital
Asset Management solution with one location for media files, easy to back
up and to organize. The solution also includes communication tools and
approval features, making it a must-have for everyone from creative
professionals to multinationals.

Key users of the software include:
* Printers
* Advertising agencies
* Video production houses
* Commercial photographers
* Photo Imagers

One user of the software, Igor Perchuk, president of Image Source
Productions, has been able to replace both clumsy FTP transfers and limited
email attachments with Seefile. "My customers are able to review and
download proofs if I allow them to, upload their own graphical files to the
same folders, and communicate approvals with a click. It's a phenomenal way
to handle a range of client communication issues that in the past, have
really limited small graphics firms like mine. I've been looking for
something like this for years."

Pricing and Availability
The software is retail priced from 499 to 5,495 Euro, depending on number
of user licenses. For customers who don't have a Mac available to act as
the server, SeeFile and its distributors provide bundles with Mac Mini
hardware - easy to integrate to any network.

received rave reviews from a number of graphics and photography magazines,
