Announcing the release of SecuritySpy 1.1
Multi-camera video surveillance software for the Macintosh

With features such as motion detection, real-time compression and
network video streaming, SecuritySpy has everything required for
demanding video surveillance applications. Combined with Mac OS X,
the rock-solid operating system from Apple, SecuritySpy offers
unsurpassed speed, stability and ease of use.

The main features of SecuritySpy are:

- Displays and captures live video from multiple cameras simultaneously
- Supports Macintosh-compatible video and audio input devices
- Supports network video devices (Axis, JVC, Panasonic, Pixord, D-Link etc)
- Motion Detection and Timelapse capture features, with audio
- Built-in web server for remote viewing and administration
- Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) support for many network cameras
- Powerful real-time compression for efficient storage of captured footage
- FTP upload feature for off-site storage of captured footage
- Motion-triggered email notifications
- Pre-capture buffer to capture video before the time of motion
- Browser feature for playback of captured footage, with synchronised
multi-camera playback

The improvements in version 1.1 are:

- Sound recording (capture sound with motion detection and timelapse movies)
- Recordings can be triggered by sound level
- Remote administration of settings through the built-in web server
- New options for custom size video through the built-in web server

- More efficient Java applet for viewing live video through the
built-in web server
- Improved web server performance
- Playback of multiple synchronised movies in the Browser
- New mouse-operated scrub control in the Browser
- "JKL" key scrub control in the Browser
- Other improvements to the Browser
- New option to capture image files periodically
- Cameras set to active mode will remain in active mode even if
SecuitySpy is quit and restarted
- Frame rate control for StarDot, D-Link and Toshiba network cameras
- New option to disable motion detection for a camera in passive mode
to save processor time
- More efficient use of processor time for network devices when in passive mode
- New Dashboard Widget for easy remote viewing of live video
- Support for authentication with SMTP servers (for sending emails)
- Support for the latest Axis network cameras
- Support for the Vivotek IP2112 / IP2122 network camera
- Support for the Axis 213 PTZ network camera
- Support for the Canon VB-C50i and VB-C50iR network cameras
- Support for the Panasonic BL-C10A and BL-C30A network cameras
- Support for the Sony SNC-DF40N and SNC-CS3N network cameras
- Support for the Toshiba IK-WB02A network camera
- Support for the Planet ICA-500 network camera and IVS-100 video server
- Support for the Digitus DN-16001 and DN-16002 network cameras
- Support for the Level One WCS-2010 network camera
- Fixed problem with the web server becoming unresponsive
- Fixed compatibility problem with the Mobotix camera
- Fixed some compatibility problems with Toshiba network cameras
- Fixed bug causing capture destinations to be forgotten
- Improved settings windows
- Minor bug fixes and improvements

SecuritySpy runs native on both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. It can be
downloaded and tested free of charge for a 30 day evaluation period
