Major upgrade to the multi-platform professional developer tool

Apple Expo, Paris - Tuesday 31st August 2004 - Runtime Revolution
announces major update to its professional developer tools packages,
Revolution Studio and Revolution Enterprise. Version 2.5 brings new
data security features, support for XML-RPC, Linux native theme (GTK)
support, an improved user interface, overhauled documentation,
and over 700 other enhancements.

"This must have upgrade is a big step forward for our award winning
Revolution product. It is our fourth major upgrade since Revolution
was released in 2001, and brings many new features, together with
hundreds of refinements and an overall stability improvement"
said Kevin Miller, CEO of Runtime Revolution.

Key new features in Revolution 2.5 include:

* Full support for SSL for secure data transmission over networks
and the Internet
* Linux native theme support (GTK) for a more professional appearance on
Linux
* Industrial strength encryption support for data security
* Improved Unicode support
* New XML-RPC library
* Overhauled development user interface
* New learning centre with Video, PDF and Sample Projects library
* Better reference documentation
* New Externals SDK for running code written in other languages
* Over 700 other enhancements and stability improvements

Revolution's point and click user interface builder, together with its
very high level programming language, can reduce development time
and costs by upto 90%, when compared with traditional languages.
Revolution 2.5 reduces the barrier to adopting a developer tool by
reducing training time with its extensive range of built-in, online and
community based learning options. The range of support packages
provides developers with direct access to the Revolution
development team.
