Register.com Launches New Applications To Speed Domain Registration

Domain Fast Find generates list of available domain names based on selected
key words; Multi-Name Registration enables registrations for multiple names
at once

New York, NY - April 11, 2000 - Register.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: RCOM), one of
the leading domain name registrars on the Internet, today launched two new
applications to enable faster and more effective domain name registrations.
Domain Fast Find searches for available domain names based on key words
entered by users - helping potential registrants find alternatives if their
desired domain is already taken. In addition, the company launched
Multi-Name registration, which allows customers to register multiple domain
names at once.

In another upgrade, customers using register.coms standard search and
registration service can now enter up to three names and receive complete
search results for .com, .net and .org domain names.

Our focus at register.com has always been to create the easiest domain
registration service on the Web. Todays new applications show that were
constantly re-evaluating and upgrading our services as our customers needs
grow and change, said Richard Forman, President and CEO of register.com.
Now not only is the search faster, but its easier to use than ever
before.

Domain Fast Find and Multi-Name Registration are provided free of charge
and can be accessed directly from register.coms homepage. They work as
follows:

Domain Fast Find: users enter in one or two key words, such as rooftop
and events and are provided with multiple, available .com, .net and .org
domain names incorporating these terms, such as www.rooftopevents.com,
www.b2brooftopevents.com or www.erooftop-events.com. Customers can then
select one or all of the domain names they want and proceed straight to the
billing page.

Multi-Name Registrations: users can enter multiple .com, .net or .org
domain names by typing them in and pressing the return key. Search
results reveal all the domains that are available, which can then be
selected for registration. Unavailable domains appear as hyperlinks to
Whois information, where users can see who has registered a particular
domain name.
