EIMS Filter for Archiving Email Using Custom Rules

today announced the release of Reduplicator v1.0.0 for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.
Reduplicator is an EIMS filter for archiving email using custom rules and
criteria. This first full release of Reduplicator follows on the very
successful
beta testing of the new EIMS filter during the month of November, 2004.

Reduplicator allows EIMS administrators to archive email based on criteria they
control. Email can be archived based on who it is coming from, who it is going
to, what IP address it is coming from, and the use of authentication. Archiving
location can also be customized to organize archived email by domain, username,
and current date values.

Reduplicator provides functionality vital to companies and hosting providers
that must fulfill HIPAA guidelines, publicly traded or health company
accountability statutes, and any other situations in which the archiving and
organization of email is vital. Reduplicator provides a simple means to store
and keep organized only email vital to fulfill such requirements without
archiving all SMTP transactions within EIMS.

Features in Reduplicator

The Reduplicator filter has the following features and options that can be
easily customized for individual needs:

Custom rules document for determine what email to archive;
Rules criteria to match on:
MAIL FROM (wildcards supported);
RCPT TOs (wildcards supported);
remote IP address(es);
use of SMTP AUTH;
Multiple archive documents based on multiple recipients (setting);
Removing multiple recipients based on domain or full recipient (setting);
Customizable archive target directory for each rule;
Custom archive directories, based on any of the following (setting):
remote IP;
remote IP match value;
MAIL FROM username;
MAIL FROM domain;
RCPT TO username;
RCPT TO domain;
full current date;
current year;
current month;
current day;
Rule stoppage upon criteria match (setting);
Archive documents are standard EIMS incoming mail documents.

All of the functionality available within the Reduplicator filter is
customizable to match the exact needs of the EIMS administrator. Any criteria
for matching SMTP connections to archival options is available within the
Reduplicator filter.
