Redbug Announces Mapwing Creator for $39, Updates Pro

(Carlisle, PA) - Redbug Technologies has announced Mapwing Creator, a $39
shareware application for turning digital photographs into virtual tours.
Redbug has also updated Mapwing Creator Pro to version 1.5, adding support
for high resolution maps and improving web page integration. To learn more

Mapwing is a software technology for building, sharing, and exploring
virtual reality (VR) tours. It enables anyone with a digital camera and a
computer to create tours quickly and easily. Users can create VR locations
or "points" out of images and connect these together to form tours. A tour
can be enhanced with an interactive map, text comments, web site links, and
detail image hotspots. Mapwing tours can be viewed in web pages using
Adobe's Flash Player or explored with OpenGL using Mapwing Viewer.

Mapwing Creator enables users to create full-featured virtual tours that
contain up to 20 points and have a map background resolution of 1024 by
1024 pixels. Mapwing Creator will be available this summer as shareware for
$39. It requires Mac OS X 10.3 or higher. For more information, visit

Mapwing Creator Pro 1.5 adds several new features including improved export
to Flash options, high resolution map backgrounds of 10,240 by 10,240
pixels, and a thumbnail view for media assets. Mapwing Creator Pro 1.5 is a
free update for existing users. The full version retails for $295 and
requires Mac OS X 10.3 or higher. To download a demo or to learn more,
