Red Giant announces Creative Suite 5 support

Red Giant Software (http://www.redgiantsoftware.com) says its products will support the just announced Adobe Creative Suite.

Magic Bullet Looks, Knoll Light Factory, Trapcode Suite, and Pro Keying Suite will be the first products available for Adobe After Effects CS5 and/or Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. Red Giant Software will release these Adobe CS5 updaters within two weeks of Adobe CS5 shipping. All other products will be available for Adobe CS5 by this summer. The Adobe CS5 updaters from Red Giant Software are only applicable to users that choose to upgrade to Adobe CS5.

According to Sean Safreed of Red Giant, the Adobe CS5 updaters for Red Giant Software products offer support for 64-bit computing, which provide many benefits including:

° Better use of memory to allow multiple applications to run with increased performance;

° Support of RAW content with the capacity to handle any resolution up to 5K and beyond;

° Smooth playback of multiple streams of video in real-time in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5;

° More flexible workflows with the ability to handle multiple open applications at once.

Adobe CS5 updates for all individual products will be available for US$29 each. Trapcode Suite customers can upgrade the entire Suite for a flat price of $99. Magic Bullet Suite customers can upgrade the entire Suite for a flat price of $99 -- coming this summer. Magic Bullet PhotoLooks and Knoll Light Factory for Photoshop users qualify for a free upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Red Giant has also announced a new agreement with Adobe that allows purchasers of Adobe After Effects CS5, Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, Adobe Production Premium CS5, or Adobe CS5 Master Collection to register with Adobe for a free copy of Magic Bullet Quick Looks Limited. With Magic Bullet Quick Looks Limited, users can set the mood of footage for everything from a wedding to the next Sundance original using the 20 free presets.
