REALbasic 3.1 supports Mac OS X, adds Mac OS X specific features, improves
database functionality

April 23, 2001. Austin, TX - REAL Software, Inc. today shipped REALbasic
3.1, a free update for all REALbasic 3 owners. REALbasic utilizes Mac OS
X's Aqua interface and operates on earlier versions of Macintosh System
software as well. REALbasic is the powerful, easy-to-use tool for creating
your own software for Macintosh, Mac OS X, and Windows. It is easy enough
for beginners and powerful enough for professionals to use. Having a
problem that needs solving is all that is required to benefit from using
REALbasic.

"Only four days after installing Mac OS X for the first time I have ELEVEN
of my REALbasic applications all working sweetly under this new OS, two of
which are fairly complex, large programs," said Peter Job, President of
Black Diamond Products. "I find this truly stunning. Most of the time has
been taken up creating new 128 x 128 icons, rather than coding, too!"

REAL Software created this free update to improve compatibility with Mac OS
X 10.0. All REALbasic users should download this update because while it
adds Mac OS X exclusive features, it also includes further major

Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Japanese.
