REAL Software Ships REALbasic 2009 Release 1

REAL Software, creator of REALbasic -- a cross-platform development
tool for creating software for Mac, Windows and Linux -- is now
shipping REALbasic 2009 Release 1. The first release of 2009
continues to focus on product quality and reliability, while
introducing 27 new features and 100 improvements, according to Geoff
Perlman, founder and CEO of REAL Software.

Among other things, this release includes a new Quickstart window
that helps new users get started developing software in REALbasic.
Also, REAL Software recently launched a new Affiliate Program where
developers, and those with a web presence, can help promote REALbasic
2009 Release 1. The Affiliate Program
(http://www.realsoftware.com/affiliate) allows affiliates to
advertise REALbasic on their own web sites, and REAL Software will
pay a commission to the affiliate for each new license sale they
generate.

REALbasic is available in a free 30-day trial edition. REALbasic
Personal Edition for Mac or Windows is priced at US$99. REALbasic for
Linux Personal Edition is offered for free. REALbasic Professional
Edition, required for cross-platform compilation, is $500. All
versions of REALbasic are now available and can be downloaded
directly from REAL Software at http://www.realsoftware.com/download
