REAL Software -- the folks behind the REALbasic cross-platform development -- is shipping REAL SQL Server, a cross-platform multi-user database server for use with REALbasic.
REAL SQL Server is a multi-user database server based on the public domain SQLite database engine. Among its benefits to REALbasic developers, according to President and CEO Geoff Perlman, are; whole-solution support from the desktop to the server; one-step installation, easy configuration and administration without the need for external tools,; an easy transition and consistent results when migrating from REALbasic’s built-in database to REAL SQL Server.
REAL SQL Server is available now and a free demo can be downloaded [url=http://www.realsoftware.com/download]here[/url]. Deployment license pricing is US$500 for up to five connections and $1,500 for unlimited connections (the latter has special introductory pricing of $999, for a limited time).
