PRESS RELEASE

New Development Tool for REALbasic Developers Enables SQL Console Database
Management

Application from Independent Developer Heralds First App in Macintosh
Software Line

Chicago, Illinois -- Independent Macintosh Developer, Donagrandi Software,
publicly announces the availability of RBdbMaker v.1.0, a development
environment tool for REALbasic developers using REALbasic's built-in
database engine. RBdbMaker v.1.0 can be downloaded from
http://home.earthlink.net/~donagrandi/Software.html.

Unlike other database editor applications for REALbasic, RBdbMaker v.1.0's
focus is on the developer, not the end-user. "More than the need to
visually create his database, a developer needs to test SQL commands that
he or she will utilize within code, have an ability to save those commands
as stored procedures, and be able to call those commands again," says Mr.
Donagrandi owner and developer of Donagrandi Software. "RBdbMaker v.1.0
links hands-on development with code, whereas other freeware or shareware
products advertising the same functionality focus on the glitz of a
graphical interface more directed to an end-user. I wanted an application
that developers could use in conjunction with REALbasic, not something that
would compete with it, and the results of which you could simply cut and
paste into your application's code.

"While working on a soon-to-be released, vertical-market application
involving an extensive database, I experienced a number of anomalies while
using the database editor for the built-in REALbasic database engine,"
Donagrandi explained further. "In order to circumvent these problems, I
found I could store the SQL that built the database, modify the SQL when
needed, and simply recreate the database as required -- entirely through
SQL commands supported through REALbasic." The application saved him
considerable time and work, and, developed as RBdbMaker v.1.0, quickly
became a viable product with significant expansion potential.

RBdbMaker v.1.0 will appeal to REALbasic developers. Mr. Donagrandi has
already made plans for its further development, including MacOS X and
REALbasic 3.0 support. RBdbMaker v.1.0 is first in a line of Macintosh
software products that Mr. Donagrandi will develop independently, including
vertical-market applications and interactive games.

RBdbMaker v.1.0 is offered as $15 shareware and is downloadable from Mr.
Donagrandi's website at
http://home.earthlink.net/~donagrandi/Software.html.

First-time use of the application will bring up a message box urging the
user to register the software. Users of RBdbMaker can purchase a
registration key from Kagi Order Processing at http://order.kagi.com/?35G&S
for $15.
