Since its creation in the late 1980s by Guido van Rossum, interest in
Python has exploded as more companies and programmers begin to
capitalize on it elegance, portability and scalability across a number
of platforms. Python has suddenly become ubiquitous, appearing in a
variety of applications used by organizations such as Hewlett Packard,
NOAA, Google, NASA and Pixar. Always working to provide the most
relevant and current technology to its students, The Big Nerd Ranch is
pleased to announce the upcoming Python Bootcamp February 21-25, 2005.

Class instructor Mark Lutz is one of the foremost experts in Python
programming. In addition to being a full-time trainer, writer and
software developer, he is the author of the O'Reilly books "Programming
Python" and "Python Pocket Reference" and is the author of "Learning
Python." Mark has been involved with Python since 1992 and began
teaching Python classes in 1997.

Upon completion of the course, Python Bootcamp students will be able
to:
* Develop applications in the Python Programming Language
* Utilize Python's built-in toolset
* Use OOP in Python
* Use common Python applications such as GUIs and databases
* Apply Python as a scripting language

The Big Nerd Ranch incorporates intensive training classes for Unix
and Mac OS X programmers in a retreat setting outside Atlanta, GA.
