Post.Office for Mac OS X: The SPAMbuster
Update now available with extensive SPAM filtering and enhanced IMAP Support

Santa Barbara, CA, September 4, 2002. Post.Office 3.5.3 version 711, the
premier mail server and list server for Mac OS X, was released today with
enhanced SPAM filtering and IMAP support. Tenon is shipping an enhanced
version of Post.Office that includes sophisticated header and message
body-based regular expression filtering to let Postmasters effectively
manage the ever growing deluge of unwanted eMail. The powerful SPAM
filtering and the ability of users to "self-administer" their own mail
accounts make Post.Office a favorite with Postmasters and ISPs.

"The onslaught of SPAM has been a real problem," said COO, Elton Darby of
E.H. Darby & Co. We were forced to migrate from WebSTAR's mail server to
get control of the excessive text and graphic SPAM that was proliferating
through our five domains. We reviewed and tested several packages and
Tenon's Post.Office was by far the most flexible. It gave us total control
to customize SPAM filters to fit our needs."

The new package includes sample SPAM filters, which are created using
Post.Office's web-based GUI. Also included are scripts to import user
account information from a range of mail servers (e.g. EIMS, SIMS, WebSTAR
mail). If user account information can be exported into a text file,
Tenon's script can import the accounts into Post.Office. Likewise lists
from LetterRip can be imported into the Post.Office list server.

Post.Office was designed from the ground up for ease of use, with an
uncomplicated, user-friendly interface. The anywhere, anytime Web forms
provide seamless navigation through the many Post.Office features. System
administrators can make changes from anywhere on the Internet using Web
forms with simple fill-in-the-blank fields and pop-up options.
Postmasters can use Post.Office to easily administer enterprise email
systems. End users can change their passwords, add 'vacation' messages,
aliases, and mail forwarding instructions via the web-based GUI.

Post.Office is offered on a sliding scale, depending upon how many
mailboxes and mailing lists are needed. A range of packages are available
to cater to Universities, corporate enterprises, and ISPs. A starter
package is available for $295, supporting 100 mailboxes and 10 lists. A
free version of Post.Office, limited to 10 mailboxes and 2 mailing lists,
is now downloadable from Tenon's web site. This free version gives SOHO
users an industrial-strength mail server and list server to use as a
spring-board to a future large-scale operation. When the company grows, no
changes are needed to go from 10 mailboxes to 10,000 mailboxes, other than
updating the license.
