PGP Whole Disk Encryption offers pre-boot authentication support

PGP Corp. (http://www.pgp.com) has updated PGP Whole Disk Encryption
for Mac OS X to version 9.9. It offers full support for pre-boot
authentication for maximum security of your Mac OS X desktop or
laptop.

It also supports external drives, including the sharing of Whole Disk
Encrypted thumb drives between Mac and Windows clients. PGP Whole
Disk Encryption 9.9 allows use of the FIPS 140-2 validated PGP SDK
for cryptographic operations and offers complete enforcement of your
encryption policies and visibility into your Whole Disk Encryption
deployment by providing a single, centralized management console (PGP
Universal Server) for both WDE for Mac OS X and WDE for Windows
clients

This release contains support for English, German, and Japanese user
interfaces. If you're an existing PGP Desktop customer, you can
launch PGP Desktop, navigate to the PGP menu, and select "Check For
Updates" to determine if you're eligible for a free upgrade to
version 9.9. If you're new to PGP, or not eligible for a free
upgrade, it costs US$119.
